Live: Scandinavian Interiors

It feels like everywhere I look, Scandinavian design is front and center. With a neutral palette of black, white, and grey, you'd think the feeling would be cold and stark, but the Nordic have mastered the art of layering textures and silhouettes for a look that is ultimately warm and homey. Linen, wool and fur contrast against wood, tile, and cement, while designer pieces mingle with Ikea favorites. It's a high-low, soft-hard, cold-warm contrast that I, and many others, can't get enough of. While I'm still convinced there's just something in the water and the light up there, I am definitely infusing some of the Scandinavian inspiration into my own home, starting with the lush reindeer hide and Andy Warhol poster I picked up on my last trip to Stockholm.
